Maintenance of your Oral Appliance:
- The appliance should be gently brushed with a toothbrush and rinsed with water when removed. Allow the appliance to air dry in the container.
- Every 4-6 weeks disinfect the appliance in a mix of equal parts water and hydrogen peroxide for 30-60 minutes.
- A high heat source or the sun may cause damage to your appliance and AM Aligner. KEEP both away from HEAT.
- A case is being provided to you for the storage of your appliance. When not using the appliance, it should remain in the storage container to avoid loss or being damaged by a pet.
- You should ALWAYS floss and brush your teeth before inserting the appliance and after removing the appliance.
If you have any questions regarding your treatment, please contact our office at (802)775-2218.
The purpose of the AM Aligner is to counteract the forces that represent the most significant side effect of a dental device used for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea, snoring, and other sleep disordered breathing.
Holding the mandible forward at night can result in a change in the bite in the morning. The AM Aligner is designed to re-establish the proper bite. It is made of a unique thermoplastic material to be used every morning to return your bite to its original position.
AM Aligner Instructions:
- After removing your appliance in the morning, wait thirty minutes before using the AM aligner
- Insert the aligner over your upper teeth and bring your lower jaw back to engage your teeth into the indentations on the bottom of the aligner
- Once your lower jaw is in the correct position, gently close on the aligner bringing your teeth together into your normal bite relationship.
- Continue to remain closed on the aligner for approximately 10-15 minutes
- If it takes longer than 15 for your muscles to relax and your bite to feel “normal”, then place a warm compress on the joints to help with relaxation of the muscles
- Remove the AM aligner, rinse it & store in a dry container. Do not expose it to heat as it will distort.

SnoreLab is an app that records your snoring, giving you objective data to help find the solutions that work for you. By measuring nightly changes in your snoring intensity, SnoreLab allows you to hear what you sound like so you can monitor your progress.
Press Start and place the phone down
Once you are ready, press the Start button and put your phone face-down near to your bed. Have your phone about an arm’s length away from your face with the device microphone facing towards you.
Having the phone face-down isn’t vital – this simply allows you to keep the device unlocked while making use of the phone’s proximity sensor to turn off the screen.
Go to sleep and let SnoreLab do its thing
Overnight, SnoreLab will listen to you snore. The app uses sophisticated snore detection algorithms to calculate your scores and give you a picture of what you sound like. You can pause the monitoring if you get up in the middle of the night.
In the morning, when you are ready to end your session, use the slide button to stop the session.
See your results and listen to your sounds
SnoreLab gives you a Snore Score: a unique measurement of snoring intensity. There is also a breakdown of how long you were snoring and at what levels – quiet, light, loud and epic! By tapping on the chart, you can listen to the sounds for yourself. Use the control panel to scroll through your recordings or drag the blue dot to the point on the chart you want to listen to.
SnoreLab’s default is to save 20 audio samples per night, but you can opt to listen to audio for the entire night with Full Night Recording.
There are lots of other features and tools in the SnoreLab app. You can find out more about these and how to interpret your results at SnoreLab.com.
